Civil Construction Apprenticeship
Gforce is the region's largest employer of apprentices and trainees, with a strong history of providing innovative employment opportunities. We currently have an exciting opportunity for a hardworking and responsible individual to undertake an apprenticeship in Civil Construction with the City of Greater Geelong.
City of Greater Geelong Civil Construction crews are responsible for a diverse range of projects within the Geelong region including building and maintaining bridges, roads, drainage networks and footpaths.
Their apprentice rotation program provides a variety of work experiences by rotating you through a number of Construction and Maintenance crews over the 3 year apprenticeship.
To be successful in this role you will need to demonstrate the following skills and attributes:
- Mature approach to work
- Willingness to learn new skills
- The ability to get along with a diverse range of people
- Physically fit and able to undertake manual labour
- Commitment to perform work in a safe manner and adhere to OH&S policies and procedures
- Must have a current driver's licence and reliable vehicle
What to expect:
You will be required to work a 38 hour week (including TAFE training) and be willing to work overtime when required.
As an apprentice of Gforce you will be a valued employee, provided with an experienced consultant, to support, assist and encourage you in developing a long term career in this industry.
All apprentices are paid as per an Enterprise Agreement. Apprentice wages are approximately $24,952 in the first year, increasing to $38,814 in the second year and $49,904 in the third year. Adult apprentice wages are approximately $53,550 per year for all years.
