Apprenticeship Employment Network held their 2018 Annual Awards Dinner on Thursday, 22 November at Pelicans Landing, Williamstown where apprentices, trainees, Goup Training Organisation’s (GTO) throughout Victoria were acknowledged for their outstanding efforts and contribution to apprenticeships and traineeships in Australia.
Apprenticeship Employment Network (AEN) is Victoria’s largest apprentice and trainee employer network with their members securing employment for 150,000 apprentices and trainees over the last 30 years. Their awards ceremony is held annually to acknowledge the outstanding achievements of members, staff, apprentices and trainees within the Victorian GTO industry.
Gforce’s Katrina Palmer won the category of Apprentice of the Year. She is an Electrical and Instrumentation Apprentice completing her fifth and final year of her dual qualification at Viva Energy. Katrina is a member of the Women in Trades networking group, competed in the Worldskills National Championships and is passionate about the movement of female tradies.
Gforce’s Brody Murphy won the STAR (Stop Taking A Risk) Apprentice/Trainee OHS Award. Brody is hosted to Parks Victoria.

- Abbey Halton – Gforce – Certificate III in Companion Animal Services

- Brody Murphy – Gforce – Certificate III in Horticulture
